Hi Jamie Jo, great question! You are correct your friend would definitely have to consult with her Doctor as to what type of Diet Plan would be right for her. The ITG Diet Protocol states that it can not be an active cancer and she would have to be in remission for at least 3 years and even then she would have to have her doctors approval. She could certainly get the ITG foods for supplemental use to get more protein and cutting carbs drinking more water would also help.
