Hi Shelia, good question. I actually take a powder form of magnesium and it also contains this ingredient. Sodium saccharin is the solid form of the artificial sweetener saccharin. Saccharin is non-nutritive and is used to add sweetness to beverages and foods without the calories or detrimental effects of consuming sugar. It should be fine while on Step One of the ITG Diet Plan as long as you just take as directed. Hope that helps.
