Keto Italian Garlic Braids

  • 0.33 cup(s) coconut flour
  • 0.33 cup(s) almond flour
  • 0.33 cup(s) flaxseed, ground
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) Italian seasoning, oregano, basil, chopped
  • 8 ounce(s) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 ounce(s) cream cheese


  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) crushed garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon(s) Italian seasoning, oregano, basil, chopped
  • 0.25 teaspoon(s) Gator Garlic (optional)

Keto Italian Garlic Braids Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cover a baking sheet or cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Melt butter and combine topping ingredients and set aside.
  4. In a glass dish, blend baking powder, garlic, salt, seasonings, coconut flour, almond flour, flax seed and egg. Make sure there are no lumps.
  5. Use a microwave-safe dish to heat the cream cheese and mozzarella for 60 seconds, toss and heat again for 30 seconds.
  6. Blend the combined ingredients with cheese mixture in a food processor for about 3 minutes.
  7. Flatten dough into a rectangular shape about 1/2 inch thick. Slice into 8 equal sized strips, then divide each of those strips into 3 sections for braiding.
  8. Dampen hands or use olive oil on your fingers to arrange 3 strips side-by-side and press together at the top. Create a braid pattern moving the left and right strips over the middle.
  9. Press the bottom of the dough to complete the braid. Repeat for the rest of the bread strips.
  10. Apply coat of garlic butter and dust with salt and herbs.
  11. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Prep Time: 10 minutes, Cook Time: 20 minutes, Yield: 8 breadstick braids, Calories: 200  Fat: 18g  Protein: 8g  Net carbs: 2g  Sugar: 1g
