ITG Recipes for Steps 1-3

Feel free to enjoy the recipes here that can be used on the ITG Diet Plan.  One of our coaches has looked at, approved and most of the time has cooked the recipes we are sharing here.  We did not invent all of these recipes and will try to credit the author when provided.  Plan accordingly depending on the step of the plan you are on.  If you have a recipe you would like to share please send it to us!

Hot and Spicy Chili Soup

For All Stages of the ITG Diet Plan



For 4 people ()


  • 1 teaspoon(s) Coriander Seeds
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Olive Oil
  • 2 Medium Chili Peppers, Sliced
  • 2 cup(s) Chicken Broth
  • 2 cup(s) Water
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) Ground Cumin
  • 4 tablespoon(s) Tomato Paste
  • 16 ounce(s) Chicken
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Coconut Oil
  • 4 tablespoon(s) Fresh Chopped Cilantro
  • 0.5 Lime to Juice
  • 2 dash(es) Salt and Pepper or to taste

Hot and Spicy Chili Soup Directions

  1. Cut up and season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in pan on stove top then set aside.
  2. In 2 tablespoons of olive oil, heat up coriander seeds to release more of their flavor.
  3. Once fragrant, add sliced chili peppers and lightly sauté until Chilis are also fragrant
  4. Add in broth and water, allow to simmer. Season in well with turmeric, ground cumin, salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Once soup is simmering add in tomato paste and coconut oil, stir to melt and combine. Let soup simmer for about 5-10 mins.
  6. Reduce heat on the stove and add the juice of half of a lime.
  7. Place cooked chicken into the bottom of the bowl and ladle the soup over top.
  8. Garnish with cilantro.
